Library

The CSMA Library carries out the tasks of receiving, cataloging, document processing, storage, and dissemination of documents, books, monographs, scores, and sound collections, as well as serving as a cultural information point in areas related to music. The Library’s collection consists of some 15,000 references including monographs, books, facsimiles, complete works, scores, CDs, CD-ROMs, and audiovisual and sound archives. In addition to this collection, there are specialized magazine collections, deposit funds, and a vinyl archive.

Library hours: Monday to Thursday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

PURPOSE OF THE LOAN SERVICE

The objective is to facilitate users’ off-site use of the available collection that makes up its holdings, without diminishing the availability of that collection for other users. The rules for use and loan are published at the various information points in the Library. As a general guideline, with exceptions, a maximum of 3 items may be borrowed for a maximum period of 10 days. There is an option for renewal for justified reasons.
