The CSMA Library carries out the task of receiving, cataloguing, treating, processing, storing, and sharing documents, books, monographs, scores, and sound collections, as well as functioning as a cultural information point in all areas related to music.
The CSMA Library holds about 15,000 items, including monographs, books, facsimile editions, complete works, scores, sheet music, CDs, CD-ROMs, and audiovisual and sound archives. In addition to that, it stores collections of specialised magazines, special collections for consultation only, and the vinyl archive.

Consultation in the reading rooms is open to the general public.
Besides, the Library must also promote their services to be extended to any Aragonese researchers.
All users are under the obligation to respect other users, as well as the media, facilities, and documents the library offers, ensuring their physical safety, handling them properly, and requesting the assistance of library staff when needed.
For health and safety reasons, to ensure the maintenance of the facilities and to guarantee the preservation of the bibliographic collections and equipment, the following items are not allowed in the Library’s public spaces:
To maintain an atmosphere conducive to concentrated research and study work for all users, we ask members to keep quiet. In addition, in the Library’s facilities it is not allowed:
All Library staff is authorized to request identification from any user contravening these general rules or the particular regulations set for the use of each service, and it is mandatory for all users to identify themselves when are requested to do so by any member of the Library staff. Failure to comply with the rules will lead to a sanction that may forbid them to use Library services, temporarily or permanently, depending on the seriousness of the case. Neither the Library nor the centre can be held responsible for any losses that may occur.
The CSMA Library’s opening hours are always shown in all its entrances. As guiding reference: Monday to Friday morning from 8:30 to 14:30 and afternoons from 16:15 to 18:15 on Mondays and Thursdays.
We aim to make it possible for Library users to borrow the available catalogue out of its collections, whilst preserving the very same catalogue availability for the rest of the users. Loan service rules and terms of use are shown in the different information points of the Library. As a general guidance rule, with a few exceptions, users are entitled to loan up to 3 references for a maximum of 10 days. Renewals for justified reasons are allowed.
All individual volumes of our catalogue can be borrowed as per the rules of use of the Library, except for the ones stated underneath, which are intended solely for the permanent consultation service:
These works can only be consulted at the Library. Due to the one-off character of the periodicals and reference works, we have self-operated photocopy machines available at the Reprographic room for users to make copies of them.
