CSMA Percussions

CSMA Percussions (percussion ensemble of the Conservatory of Music of Aragon) is a national reference for our best percussionists, a position gained from 2002 through their brilliant results under the direction of César Peris.

 

It has been awarded the prize “Best new young group FIP2015” by the Spanish Network of Percussion International Festivals, FIP; The Re-Percusion 2012 prize was also awarded to the Conservatory of Music of Aragon for their uninterrupted participation in residence in the Tamborixar Festival, Hijar (Teruel) since 2003.

 

They have collaborated with international percussionists such as Rubino (Italiy), Mika Takehara (Stockholm), Nebojsa Zivkovic (Serbia), Jean Geoffroy (France), Collin Currie (U.K.) y artistas como Casey Reas (the U.S.) amongst others, and they have performed in Madrid, Salamanca, Cartagena, Pontevedra, Lérida, Castellón, Huesca, Teruel, Jaca, Sabiñánigo, Canfranc, Calatayud, Ejea de los Caballeros, Monzón, Tarazona, Graus, Híjar, Zaragoza y París (France).

 

CSMA Percussions organizes their own cycle of concerts for young audiences at the Eduardo del Pueyo Hall in Zaragoza since 2005. “Music is not music until someone listens to it”. It is a reference point in Aragon, which has been attended to by over 95,000 students from secondary, primary, pre-school and special needs education.

 

The holders of the percussion chair of CSMA are the percussionists: César Peris Escrig, Percussion Chairman, CSMA, soloist of the Plural Ensemble/Madrid and the Enigma-OCAZ/Zaragoza (www.cesarperis.com), Lucía Carro and Francisco Inglés Monzón, solo percussionists of the Valencia Palau de Les Arts Orchestra.
