The CSMA Symphonic Band, like the other representative orchestral ensembles of the CSMA, was born with the aspiration of reaching a level of interpretative excellence within the academic framework of wind music. It also counts with an important percussion section, occasionally collaborates with string instruments, and incorporates different keyboards such as the piano, the celesta or the harpsichord, as well as harps, accordions or recorders, and also jazz combos, electronic instruments, vocals, and audiovisual and other special effects. This allows them to tackle a versatile repertoire, ranging from original creations for symphonic band to a contemporary or traditional repertoire for wind orchestras.
All this turns this group into a modern, young, dynamic, high-quality band and, above all, a band that is attractive to the audience.
