The CSMA Chamber Choir<\/strong> was created in 2013, to work with a group of selected students, on choral pieces from different periods in the history of music which, given their complexity, require the performers to have a high technical level.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

When selecting our members, their commitment and implication, both individual and collective, is as important for us as their vocal quality. Choir members are students from different instrumental and theoretic specialities, and none of them is studying vocals. Most of them have previous choral experience and are currently studying or have already passed Vocal Technique with Professor Llanos Mart\u00ednez.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The main purposes of this choir are:<\/p>\n

-Being able to show artistically and stylistically precise performances, carefully crafted, and to manage a rich, bright and balanced sound as a group.<\/p>\n

-Working on stage skills that favour the development of communicative and expressive skills, as well as of versatility and musical adaptability, taking into account the stylistic features proper of each kind of repertoire.<\/p>\n

-Working in several repertoires covering all musical styles, from the Renaissance to the 20th century, by trying to programme thematic concerts that allow for an in-depth study of certain periods in the history of music. In this way, the formal and interpretative aspects of each period can be better understood and the public can also have access to repertoires that are rarely programmed in our region\u2019s concert halls.<\/p>\n

The CSMA Chamber Choir<\/strong> prepares two or three programmes or productions per academic year. Each production ends with at least one concert open to the public. A cappella repertoires alternate with others prepared in collaboration with different instrumental ensembles, as well as with joint productions with the larger instrumental CSMA groups (Symphonic Band, Baroque Ensemble, Symphonic Orchestra, etc.).<\/p>\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_separator type=”transparent”][vc_separator type=”transparent”][vc_separator type=”transparent”][vc_separator type=”transparent”][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row css_animation=”” row_type=”row” use_row_as_full_screen_section=”no” type=”full_width” angled_section=”no” text_align=”left” background_image_as_pattern=”without_pattern”][vc_column][vc_column_text]\n
